19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his initial championship for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has endured a torrid period, achieving just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - caused him falling of the top ten and eventually splitting with former coach Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and his other coach, he has gradually advanced in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought competitive triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial trophy since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard court from March of 2023.
Victory also signifies he has won 21 victories at 21 different competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
His counter-punching strategy and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led some to doubt if his ability to play at the top level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the past month, striving to approach the net and perform positively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
He recovered from a break down in the first set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players traded service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial tour championship, gained dominance to create a third set.
He saved 4 early opportunities in a tight third set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner secured victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
